Triple R SCID 750 Gallon
Like the Triple R, the Triple R SCID-unit is designed for heavy use to anti-ice and de-ice Ramps, Roadways, and Runways. During winter operation install the self-contained sprayer on a dumpbed, flatbed truck or trailer. In warmer months remove and store the unit, allowing the carrier to do other work. No dedicated vehicles!

A driver friendly computer system controls the application rate as the vehicle speed or spray width changes. Rear center spray nozzles and left and right side sprayheads are used in open areas. Three, twelve foot sections spray one to three road lanes. Completed with unique Variable Orifice (VO) nozzles, application rates of 0.25 gallon per 1,000 ft2 (0.95L / 93m2) at 1-50 mph and 1.0 gallon per 1,000 ft2 (3.8L / 93m2) at 1-36 mph are at the operator's hand.
The Triple R SCID frame is constructed of tubular steel and powder coat finished for durability. Telescoping legs and alignment rollers allow easy installation and removal. Load the unit on a dumpbed or flatbed truck, secure it and spray. At seasons end, unload and store the sprayer and free the vehicle for other jobs.

Computer / Product Control
The computer system monitors product flow, active boom width and ground speed to adjust the product pump output. The desired application rate is maintained regardless of the vehicle speed. Ground speed is monitored through vehicle transmission interfacing or a GPS velocity sensor.
Pump System
From the product tank, deicer liquid pumps through an efficient centrifugal cast-iron pump with a 5.5HP Honda engine. The computer system regulates product flow by controlling the engine throttle speed. A three valve shut-off assembly controls spray boom nozzle sections independently, or combined, using switches for left, right or center nozzles as desired. .

Rear center nozzles, together with left and right side sprayheads provide spray widths from 12' to 36' (3.6 to 11.0m). Section spraying is ideal for treating multi-lane roadways, parking areas and pedestrian walkways.

Shut-Off Valves

The flow rate of the Variable Orifice (VO) nozzle changes as required by the vehicle speed and product flow. The inherent anti-drip design closes the nozzle when the vehicle stops. The nozzle droplet size and velocity produces no splash at 40 mph reducing atomization. Spray at speeds from 1 to 50 mph and at rates from 0.25 to 2.0 gallons per 1000 square feet. Variable Orifice (VO) nozzles eliminate check valves, selectable nozzles, quick-change nozzles, or multiple nozzle spray systems.

Sprayer Capacity
A 1450 gallon (5490 L) product tank sprays up to 5.8 million square feet (538,800m2) with application rates from 0.25 to 2.0 gallons per 1000 square feet (0.95 to 7.5 L / 93m2). This enables the driver to cover up to 161,000 lineal feet with a 36' swath. The Triple R can spray an application rate of one gallon per 1000 square feet at 40 miles per hour (3.8 L / 93m2 at 64 kph).

Spraying an application rate of 30 gallons / mile (70 L/km), a 1450 gallon (5490 L) product tank will service 48.3 lane miles (77 km).
